Nathalie Emmanuel
Nathalie Emmanuel was a British actor who gained notoriety for her character Missandei on HBO's fantasy epic "Game of Thrones" (HBO 2011, 2011-19). Emmanuel lived in Southend-on-the-Sea an area of Essex and found herself drawn to the performing arts from an early age. Her mother was impressed and started enrolling her in dancing, singing and acting lessons when she was just 3 years old. Emmanuel was a skilled actor who grew rapidly. In the latter half in the 90s, she performed the role of her role as a little Nala in "The Lion King," a West End musical that was a huge success. Emmanuel began auditioning at the age of a teenager for roles in film and television. Her first break came in 2007, when she was chosen to play Sasha Valentine, a British soap opera "Hollyoaks", (Channel 4 95between 2007 and 2010). Emmanuel performed the role for four years until dropping the show in 2010. Emmanuel got her next break just three years later after she was signed in the role of Missandei on the HBO show Game of Thrones. She as Daenerys's interpreter (played by Emilia Clarke). Emmanuel was to appear in each subsequent season of "Game of Thrones" all the way through the finale of the show in the month of May, 2019.
